 When the email landed in our inbox saying "Slaid Cleaves is in your area tomorrow and he would love to come and play a session" we dropped everything, reaaranged appointments and spruced up the shed.

 Based in Austin TX Slaid's strapline on his website reads "Slaid Cleaves, Grew up in Maine, Lives in Texas, Writes songs, Makes records,Travels around, Tries to be good." which, like his songs, says it all simply and eloquently.
